A Pet Prime® membership makes essential pet care simple with a yearly wellness plan that helps keep your pet happy and healthy. Unlimited exams, annual vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives, and more are covered with your membership.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the enrollment fee one time only, or is it an annual fee?

The enrollment fee is one-time only as long as the pet remains consecutively enrolled year after year. Canceling a plan and then enrolling later would include another enrollment fee.

Is there a multi-pet discount?

No two pets are alike, so each one has their own plan with a separate enrollment and monthly fee to ensure personalized care.

Do puppy and kitten boosters qualify under Pet Prime? What about adult boosters for vaccines like leptospirosis?

Yes, to both! Vaccines included with Pet Prime are meant to be used during routine visits, and this consists of all vaccines and boosters that your veterinarian recommends.

Is the cost of the visit covered for a sick pet exam?

The exam cost is 100% covered under Pet Prime membership. Diagnostics, treatments, and medications are all invoiced at regular prices.

Does Pet Prime include bloodwork for my pet?

Yes! Pet Prime plans include annual wellness bloodwork.

Are substitutions allowed for preventatives?

Pet Prime does not allow substitutions for preventatives.

My dog weighs more than 132 pounds. Is the additional preventative covered under Pet Prime?

Pet Prime membership covers dosages for all weights. No extra charges for additional preventatives needed for dogs over 132 pounds.

How do I use Zoetis PetCare Rewards with Pet Prime?

Pet Prime includes 12 months of parasite prevention. Single doses may be dispensed for younger pets until a stable weight is reached. The invoice provided at each visit allows the Pet Prime member to submit the full PetCare Rewards amount, even when a single dose is dispensed.

Can Care Credit be used to pay for Pet Prime?

Care Credit can’t be used for services that are not rendered at the time of payment, and Care Credit information can’t be stored in our system to be used for monthly Pet Prime payments.

What happens if my pet passes away or I move?

Per the agreement, plans can be canceled at any time. Any services provided under the Pet Prime plan will be invoiced at regular price, with monthly payments applied towards the balance (excluding the enrollment fee). The Pet Prime member would then be responsible for the balance due, OR we would owe the member a refund if the payments made were greater than the price of the items used.

Can I use my plan at another hospital?

Pet Prime is accepted at all Omaha Vets Group’s clinics with the exception of OVG Urgent Care. Urgent care exams are not included in Pet Prime memberships.
