Some veterinarians find their way to a clinic. Others grow up in one. For Dr. Kaelinn Friesen, Omaha Vets Group has been part of her journey from pre-vet student to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. We are proud to welcome her back for her next chapter at Skyline Veterinary Clinic.
Dr. Friesen's connection to Omaha Vets Group goes back to 2021, when she joined our team as a veterinary assistant while pursuing her pre-veterinary studies at the University of Nebraska Kearney. What started as a summer position turned into something much more. She returned to work with us each summer, gaining hands-on experience across multiple locations in our network including The Ridge Veterinary Clinic, Ridgeview Animal Hospital, and Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic.
This June, after earning her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University, Dr. Friesen joined Skyline Veterinary Clinic as a licensed veterinarian. Watching a team member grow from veterinary assistant to doctor is one of the most rewarding experiences we get to have as an organization, and Dr. Friesen's story is one we're especially proud of.

Originally from Gretna, Nebraska, Dr. Friesen has always had a deep love for animals. Her years in veterinary school transformed that lifelong passion into a focused clinical interest in surgery and medicine. She brings not only a strong educational foundation but years of real-world experience in our own clinics to her new role.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Friesen is an avid runner, a dedicated Nebraska athletics fan, and someone who values time with friends and family. She also recently welcomed a new addition to her household, a cat named Nora, who we suspect will be very well cared for.
