Melissa is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and Administrator for Omaha Vets Group. Originally from Fremont, NE, she has been passionate about the veterinary field since childhood. Her journey began with a job as a Kennel Attendant at a veterinary clinic in Fremont, which led her to pursue her career in veterinary medicine. Melissa graduated from Vatterott College in Omaha, NE, in 2010 with a class of four.
She started as an intern at Ridgeview Animal Hospital, then was hired on as a Licensed Vet Tech at Walnut Creek Veterinary Clinic. In 2016, Melissa played an integral role in launching Skyline Veterinary Clinic for the group and has since expanded into leadership, where her responsibilities include recruiting, marketing, and operations.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time with family, watching sunsets, crafting, and going on yearly trips to Minnesota. She shares her home with a cat named Kitler and two golden retriever brothers, Maverick and Goose, who are their "Top Gun" goldens.
Melissa is dedicated to helping animals and educating clients, but she also finds fulfillment in improving staff efficiency and making their work lives easier. She loves recruiting top talent to join the expanding network of clinics under Omaha Vets Group.
